If you're an avid fan of photography, and are looking for new and exciting locales to shoot, then have I got the spot for you! It's called Currumbin and it's within the Gold Coast in Australia.
Currumbin is what I would describe as an absolute photographer's paradise. It boasts amazing views from both the north and from the south. With countless vantage points that include, Elephant Rock, Currumbin Rock, and Currumbin Hill Lookout, this is a wonderful area to revel in the eye candy that is the Southern Gold Coast.
Currumbin, is a locale, with a character all its own – this is the place where the bush comes together with the beach and offers a busy village filled with boutique shops and cafes, all along the Pacific Parade. Once you've taken the time to get some pictures of this amazing beach side village, take a quick 20 minute drive west, and you'll be transported into a world of breathtaking sub tropical rainforests, rock slides and rock pools, all waiting to be explored and photographed. It's one of those experiences, you won't want to miss out on.
After you've taken some time to capture the beauty you just witnessed, be sure to make your way down to the famous Currumbin Alley. Here you'll find plenty of opportunity to photograph all sorts of people kite surfing, stand up board paddling, kayaking, and board riding.
The next stop on your trip should be to Currumbin Vikings Surf Life Savings Club, where you can grab some lunch, maybe a few drinks, and actually sit out over the ocean, where you'll be able to grab some close up shots of the spectacular views.
A great place to practice photography is the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. This place is like heaven on earth for photography enthusiasts and lovers of wildlife. With more than a thousand animals, native to Australia, all on display in their natural environments, the Currumbin Sanctuary, really gives you, a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with all the wonderful, different creatures. If you could only go to one place while in Currumbin, then this is that place!
This sanctuary is so great for photographers because it offers so many unique opportunities to visit with, and get interesting shots of the world’s biggest collection of Australian wildlife. At more than 1400 birds and animals, you'll need to visit the sanctuary many times in order to truly take all the shots you'll want to while there.
Visitors will be sure to come away with amazing pictures. It really is one of the world's most beautiful spots to visit and photograph.
